This Privacy Policy explains how Better With Age Academy (“the Academy”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you visit betterwithageacad.com or enrol in the Academy.

We are based in Hong Kong and comply with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486). For visitors and customers outside Hong Kong, we follow generally accepted international privacy standards.

2. What information we collect

 

Information you give us directly:

• Your name and email address (when you sign up, enrol, or subscribe)
• Payment information (processed securely by PayPal — we don’t store card details)
• Any messages you send us via email or contact forms
• Optional profile information you choose to add to your course account

Information collected automatically:

When you visit our site, certain technical information is collected automatically through cookies and analytics tools (such as Google Analytics and Meta Pixel). This typically includes your IP address, approximate location, device and browser type, pages visited, and how you arrived at our site. We use this to understand how visitors use the Academy and improve the experience.

• Deliver the Academy and your course access
• Process payments and send receipts
• Send you course-related emails (login details, lesson updates, support replies)
• Send you marketing emails (only if you’ve opted in via our newsletter or lead-magnet form — you can unsubscribe any time)
• Improve the Academy by understanding how visitors use the site
• Respond to your questions and provide customer support
• Comply with legal obligations

We don’t sell your information to third parties. Ever.

4. How we share your information

We work with a small number of trusted third-party services to run the Academy.

They process your information on our behalf:

• Kajabi (course hosting and email delivery) — kajabi.com
• PayPal (payment processing) — paypal.com
• Google Analytics (anonymous website analytics) — google.com
• Meta / Facebook (advertising and retargeting via the Meta Pixel) — facebook.com
Each of these services has its own privacy policy and complies with applicable data protection laws.
We may also disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

5. Cookies and tracking

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use them to:

• Keep you logged into your course account
• Remember your preferences
• Understand how visitors use the site (analytics)
• Show you relevant ads on other websites (retargeting)

We keep your information for as long as you have an active account or as needed to provide the Academy. Specifically:

• Course account information: kept while your account is active and for up to 7 years after closure (for tax and legal records)
• Payment records: kept for 7 years (Hong Kong tax law requirement)
• Email marketing data: kept until you unsubscribe, then removed within 30 days
• Anonymous analytics: kept indefinitely in aggregated form

Depending on where you live, you have rights regarding your personal information.

• Course content and account data are stored on Kajabi’s secure servers
• Payment information is handled directly by PayPal — we never see or store full card details
• Communications are protected by industry-standard encryption (HTTPS)
• Only authorised team members have access to customer information

No system is 100% secure. If a data breach ever occurs that affects your information, we’ll notify you as required by law.

9. International data transfers

The Academy is operated from Hong Kong, but our service providers (Kajabi, PayPal, Google) may store data in other countries including the United States. By using the Academy, you consent to your information being transferred to and processed in these countries, which may have different data protection laws than your own.

10. Children’s privacy

The Academy is not intended for anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has given us their information, please email us and we’ll remove it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date.
